I am always delighted to jump into another Jeeves episode by Wodehouse; they are just too darned funny! And I’ve been hooked on Jonathon Cecil’s narration of them from the start. I definitely recommend his versions on audio. Here’s our beginning of The Code of the Woosters:
I reached a hand from under the blankets, and rang the bell for Jeeves.
‘Good evening, Jeeves.’
‘Good morning, sir.’
This surprised me.

I’ve heard so much about these books. Have never read one.
I love Bertie and Jeeves. I have picked up a Wodehouse too but it is Lord Emsworth’s.

Wodehouse is one of those classic authors that I have never got around to reading and I don’t know why.
Similarly, I have never watched any of the apparently hysterical television adaptations, where Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, play Jeeves and Wooster respectively.
The latter can be explained by the fac that this is just not the kind of programme which would appeal to Mr.G, so I have just never bothered with them, although I am sure that I would thoroughly enjoy them.
I just love the cover on your audio edition, although I don’t tend to bother with audio books, I prefer to have the book in my hands.

My husband and I enjoy the Jeeves and Wooster tv adaptations because of Fry and Laurie, but I’ve never read any of the books.
I’ve got Spring Fever on my shelf (which was my mother’s copy) so will have to make time to read it soon.

Oh I love Wodehouse! I always know I’m in for a treat when I pick up one of this books. His comedy of errors are just hysterical. Do you ever watch Frasier? Sometimes what the two brothers get up to remind me of Wodehouse. 🙂
