Hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.
To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading Running Blind by Lee Child, simultaneous with The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. That’s right, last night I was so disappointed to have left Running Blind at work that I had to start a new book while the Husband watched some television that I didn’t want to watch. And then I continued it during commercial breaks when Criminal Minds came on. 🙂
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently finished Frederica and Maisie Dobbs, as you know.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Always the hardest one to answer. I’m still tempted by Room, and The Count of Monte Cristo (reread), and frankly I’m feeling uninspired about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo although I do expect to get around to it one of these days. But as you’ve perhaps noticed, I’m not terribly disciplined about what to read next, so stick around and we’ll all find out together!

I enjoyed the last Lee Child thriller I read, and I also enjoyed The Time Traveller’s Wife. I’m just about to start two books, Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert, the follow-up to Eat, Pray, Love and then Lady Audley’s Secret by Mary Braddon. I like to have two on the go at once – I find I can read more that way, like being able to eat more with both a main course and pudding!
ha, litlove, that’s a good way to put it. I find myself with several going at once just because of geography… one for each room at home, one or two at work…
Can’t wait to see what you think of Time Traveler’s Wife!
Currently reading the 5th book in the YA series Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan, to be reviewed for VOYA.
Also still proofreading Consequences by E.M. Delafield for Girlebooks. I really gotta get this finished!
Recently finished YA novel The Luxe by Anna Godbersen. I found it quite disappointing. As one Amazon reviewer put it, I wanted the book to live up to the luscious cover!
I have no idea what I’ll read next!
I looked up The Luxe and indeed that is a luscious cover! Thanks for sharing. The Time Traveler’s Wife is very interesting so far; I like the skipping around between times and ages; it’s an engaging concept. I didn’t expect to be grabbed by this one, in fact. But I like it. It’s early days yet. I’ll let you know.
Oh and how are you liking the Delafield? (Aside from proofreading being tiresome)
