  1. I know someone who forgot how to ride a bike. She tried it as an adult and couldn’t remember. I never saw her try, but I’ve heard her descriptions. How does one forget?

    • It happens. I see it all the time. I used to sell bikes for a living, and a great many of the people who came in as adults not having ridden since children struggled to stay upright. –shakes head–

  2. Ha! 🙂 I wish you luck! The adage about not ever forgetting to ride a bike seems to have been proven untrue by all my experience; but I can’t quite understand… hopefully at least it’ll be easier to relearn for those folks.

    • When ol’ Sam was learning, remember that ALL adults were learning for the first time – imagine what a leap of faith that was! If I remember correctly, the context for this quote is that he did try, and failed a few too many times to appreciate the experience.

      If I misremember and actually made that up, at least it’s an instructive story.
