About Julia

Hi. I’m Julia Kastner. I am a loving friend, daughter and dog parent. I love bicycles, beer, books, words, little dogs, turtles, trees and mountains and the ocean. I have worked as a cocktail waitress, bicycle messenger, beer saleswoman, librarian, bartender, book reviewer, editor, and writing teacher. I’ve lived in Texas, Washington state, on the road as a full-time van-dwelling nomad, and in West Virginia. My favorite color is green.

I love lists as well as books, and have probably spent too many hours over the years putting together lists of my favorite books and authors. Here are a few I love best just now.
